OPEN MIC
Fancy reading a poem of yours about peace?
The world is an utter mess, and we desperately need peace in so many countries. The Wee Sparrow Poetry Press will be having an online poetry reading on the theme of 'peace'. This will also be a fundraising event to support the wonderful NGO Project Hope
We're delighted to welcome guest poet Alix Klingenberg who will also be reading.Â
When? Sunday 2nd June at 17.00 CET (Central European Time)
Where? Zoom
Email theweesparrowpoetrypress@gmail.com if you would like to attend. Specify if you would like to read a poem or if you would just like to be in the audience. One poem per poet.
You can donate via our Buy Us a Coffee page, and once the event is over, The Wee Sparrow Poetry Press will collect all the donations and send them directly to Project Hope. We understand that not everyone will be able to make a donation, and we do not want to gatekeep this event, so donating is totally optional.Â
We would also like to remind those attending that we are an open, inclusive, and respectful community so bear this in mind when choosing your poem to read. We have much more in common than that which divides us.
In Gaza, you can find a man planting a rose in the hollow space of an unexploded tank shell, using it as a vase.

Best wishes for the reading. It will be 1am here for me so I will have to watch the recording. Can someone else read if it's nor possible to attend?
