Every evening I think of one glimmer that I noticed during the day, write it on a post-it note, and stick it on the wall opposite my bed. It means the last thing my brain holds before going to sleep is always positive. And over the course of many months you build a huge visual reminder of how much good there is in the world. Has done wonders for my well-being. So I'm really excited about this collab! Thank you for continuing to give so much of your own time and energy to help others. (That's a glimmer in itself.)

Oh I love this, Laura! A visual reminder of glimmers. Wonderful! Thank you so much for your kind words about the press too. They´re greatly appreciated. You´re a very valued member of our creative community. :-)

Hello - a question, does unpublished mean in a publication? What about if a small poem has been on social media?

This is a great project, looking forward to it! Hope you receive many glimmers from the Wee Sparrow community.

I have updated the submissions guidelines to include this. :-)

That´s a good question, Emily. Unpublished means in a publication and includes social media too.

Thanks for that!

Glimmers! The perfect descriptor for moments I began to recognize more than thirty years ago. I look forward to June 15th as I hope to corral some of my own glimmers for submission!

I'm imagining the world's medicine cabinets filled with these prescriptions. That's a glimmer!

This sounds so fun! I might submit! :) Will any of the accepted poems/poets be highlighted on your social media?

The Wee Sparrow Poetry Press's avatar

The accepted poets will have their poems made into poetry pills which will be sold at Poetry Pharmacy. We may also highlight some of the poems…
