wee poet sparrows by Colin
The Wee Sparrow Poetry Press is delighted to host a free online haibun workshop with Diana Webb. Join us to learn more about this wonderful form and to have a go at writing some of your own haibun too.
Diana is a retired development worker in mental health. She has been writing haiku for about 30 years and haibun for about 20. She won the Museum of Haiku Literature Award in Blithe Spirit for haiku (twice) and both the Genjuan International Haibun Contest and the British Haiku Society Award for haibun. She has been editor of Time Haiku journal since 2010. She edited the BHS members’ anthologies City (2020) and Change (2023), and has guest edited Drifting Sands, an online haibun and tanka prose journal. She has published four haibun collections and is working on a fifth. She also produced two small books she calls “haibun novellarettes.” Webb served as BHS events officer (2008–2009) and runs the Leaves to a Tree Haiku Group in Leatherhead, Surrey, where she lives.
