In this episode, Claire chats to poet James A. Pearson about his debut collection The Wilderness That Bears Your Name.
The poems in this book walk with you through cold seasons of loss and lostness, and out towards new summers of belonging.
But whatever season you find yourself in, they offer you a gentle faith:
“…that there is more in you
longing to break open,
to pour out,
to mingle
with the soil of life.”
James A. Pearson’s poems are beloved by people around the world. His work has been used to celebrate weddings, to mourn deaths and divorces, and to accompany people through major life transitions. Along with poetry he writes articles and essays, and he serves as a speaker, coach, and facilitator for people on the journey from winter to spring. He lives in the beautiful Pacific Northwest of the United States.
