Claire Thom is a Scottish poet, writer, teacher and examiner living in the south of Spain. She is the founder and EIC of The Wee Sparrow Poetry Press and host and producer of The Wee Sparrow Poetry Podcast.

She has poems published or forthcoming with The Mainichi, The Japan Society, Blood Moon Poetry, Sunday Mornings at the River, Trash Panda, Lighten Up, Duck Head Journal, Querencia Press, Blithe Spirit, Soor Ploom Press, The Galway Review, Suspect Device, Dark Thirty Poetry, The Black Cat Poetry Press, Scarlet Dragonfly Journal, Poetry Pea, Hyssop and Laurel, Cold Moon Journal, Hedgerow, Dreich, Wales Haiku Journal, Under the Basho, Shadow Pond Journal, Haiku in Action Nick Virgilio, Failed Haiku, Red Moon Press, Contemporary Haibun Online, King River Press and The Nuthatch Lit Mag. She was long-listed for the Erbacce Poetry Prize in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. Claire is a Kyoto Haiku Project ambassador, a member of The British Haiku Society, and a Touchstone Award for Individual Haiku nominee.
